Overview

ShipIQ is a logistics intelligence platform operated by Roadaroo. We process data on behalf of our business customers to enable shipment tracking, analytics, and operational optimization. Customers retain ownership and control of their data. We act as a service provider / processor and handle data in accordance with applicable North American privacy laws, including Canadian privacy requirements and U.S. state laws (e.g. CCPA / CPRA where applicable).

Information we collect

We collect only the data necessary to operate the platform:

  • Account data: Name, business email, organization, role, authentication credentials
  • Shipment data: Shipment records, tracking events, routing and operational data provided by customers or integrations
  • Usage data: Platform interactions, feature usage, device / browser metadata
  • System logs: API activity, error logs, security events
  • Support data: Information submitted through support requests

We do not collect sensitive personal information unless explicitly provided by the customer.

How we use information

We use data strictly to:

  • Deliver and operate the ShipIQ platform
  • Provide customer support and account management
  • Process billing and enforce agreements
  • Maintain security, detect fraud, and prevent abuse
  • Improve product performance and functionality
  • Meet legal and regulatory obligations

We do not use customer data for advertising.

Sharing with third parties

We share data only with vetted service providers required to operate the platform, including:

  • Cloud infrastructure providers
  • Payment processors
  • Email and notification services
  • Monitoring and analytics tools

All sub-processors are bound by contractual data protection obligations and may only process data on our instructions.

ShipIQ does not sell or share personal information for advertising purposes as defined under applicable U.S. state laws.

Data retention

We retain data in accordance with business needs and customer configuration:

  • Account data: Retained while the account is active and for a limited period thereafter
  • Shipment data: Retained per customer-defined policies (including enterprise-configurable retention)
  • Logs and audit data: Retained for security, compliance, and operational integrity for a limited duration

Customers may request deletion, subject to legal or contractual obligations.

Security

We maintain a security program aligned with industry standards, including:

  • Encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest
  • Role-based access controls and least-privilege enforcement
  • Centralized logging, monitoring, and alerting
  • Secure infrastructure and deployment practices

We maintain a formal incident response process to detect, respond to, and notify customers of security incidents as required.

Your rights

Depending on applicable law, authorized users may have rights to:

  • Access and obtain a copy of their data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of personal information
  • Request data portability
